This course is designed for current or aspiring managers, professional staff, and volunteers in the nonprofit sector who want to become familiar with the fundamentals of philanthropy and fundraising specifically focused on faith-based organizations and religiously motivated donors.
The course explores themes that include: an overview of the historical roots of philanthropy and its continued importance in today’s world; fundraising principles, techniques and systems; motivations for giving; ethical concerns; fundraising vehicles including annual funds, major gifts, capital campaigns, and planned giving; fundraising strategy and planning; solicitation techniques; and discussion of some of the latest trends in non-profit fundraising.
Participants will be invited to bring to their projects or class discussions their personal experiences, and will be highly interactive. You will contribute to your own learning and that of your classmates by your active participation in the classroom.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for this course (based on full attendance).
One Person – $750
Two People – $1,250 ($150 savings per person)
Three People – $1,500 ($250 savings per person)
