The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California is pleased to name Abdallah Jadallah as our Muslim of the Week!
Abdallah is currently involved with his community in the Perris Masjid as well as the UCLA Alumni Board of Directors. His inspiration to serve stems from a desire to do good and improve the world around him. In his own words, the inspiration comes from “having certainty that my good actions will not go to waste. That Allah will reward me in this life and the next life. Understanding that my positive influence has a multiplying effect. If I am a good role model and others take my lead, then I receive a share of their reward.”
Abdallah learned a variety of lessons in his time serving his community. “Understand that there will be few supporters. A few members will accomplish most of the work. Make it easy to rectify a fault. Forgive others over and over for their shortcomings. Control your tongue. Remain gentle with community members at all times. Fulfill the needs of others. Intelligent people are always hunting for opportunities to earn people’s love. Small actions (like a surprise gift) can go a long way. We can disagree with each other and still be brothers,” says Jadallah.
For striving toward positive change in his community, Abdallah Jadallah is our newest Muslim of the Week.
