Islamic Knowledge Bowl 2025

The first round will be hosted across various Islamic centers in SoCal with a 40-question multiple-choice written exam for 2 age groups (Teenagers- 13 to 18 and PreTeen- under 13) on Saturday, July 26th at 10AM. Select the test center that works best for you during registration.

All questions for both age groups this year will be based on the book, What Islam is all about by author Yahiya Emerick. It’s an amazing book for the whole family to read, benefit, and to make part of your library. Make sure to purchase the new version of the book to study, and register below to confirm your seat in the competition. A digital copy of the old version is available to view until your purchased copy arrives. Note the exams will be based on the new version which is different than the older digital version.

30 participants will be chosen and invited based on their first round scores to compete in the finals on Saturday, August 9th. Parents and family members are welcome to accompany them. Refreshments and meals will be served.

This year we look to add a Jeapordy-style team competition with teams from various Islamic Centers in addition to the individual competition. Please check with your local Islamic Center to find out if they are sending a team to participate on August 9th. Any individual 18 years of age or younger can be part of the team of 3 participants representing their Islamic center.
