Wellness Day for Muslimahs
We’re thrilled to invite you to Wellness Day for Muslimahs — a sacred space for healing, sisterhood, and sanctuary — on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am–3pm at Masjid Al-Shareef in Long Beach, organized by @lumos_transforms.
Inspired by Al-Ghazzali’s reflection on As-Samad, the theme, “We Are Each Other’s Refuge,” centers on how we cultivate spaces and relationships of mercy , strength, and collective healing for one another.
Keynote Speaker: We’re deeply honored to welcome Dr. Kameelah Mu’Min Oseguera, founder of the Muslim Wellness Foundation @mwfnational and the Black Muslim Psychology Conference @blackmuslimpsych, flying in from Chicago to speak on Sisterhood as Sanctuary.
Poetry Performance: Peacock Secrets of @peacocksecretspoetry will grace us with her powerful spoken word.
Workshops include:
• Sister Seher Bajwa @thechaicircles on menstruation and cycle wisdom
• Sister Amina Mirza @doulaamina, local doula, on fertility, birth & early childhood
• Dr. Maisam Hasan @drmaisamhasan on perimenopause & menopause care
• Sister Hoda Shawky @noorturellc holding sister support/nurture space throughout
